July is nearing its end, and we are now beginning to anticipate August’s arrival, or lest we admit, we are salivating for it. August is to be delicious, and especially flavorful for romantic couples and spouses. Let’s make a toast to the official restaurant week in Costa Mesa, in which restaurants in the area give us lunch specials and tastings prix fixe.
Costa Mesa Restaurant Week goes on beginning Friday, August 19th and ending August 26th. This one-week only affair brings the finest plates and dishes out of area restaurants, which include American, steakhouse and tapas favorites. The week-long special is for three-course meals and higher for a fixed price, hence “prix fixe”. The premier of Restaurant Week in Costa Mesa will include specials from many new restaurants.
