Visitors are welcomed to come out and get their bicycling, running or walking done as the path that leads up to the dam and back equals a whopping 6.4 mile trip. How is that for a workout? Not only do patrons come out for the trails, but patrons are often seen enjoying the views around Lake Murray. Bring the family for a picnic, bring your watercraft or boat for a day on the water, or get your fishing gear out for a day on the lake.
The park also boasts their own concession stand — for those hungry visitors — and 10 barbecues and 64 picnic tables for those on a family outing. Leashed dogs are also welcomed to the park to walk or run with their owners.
