Eat less, exercise more, and you’ll lose weight, right? That’s what we’re told, and they try to make it sound so easy. Obviously, these people aren’t talking about going from 2 BK Whoppers to just one. The change includes more than just that, but no one ever really tells you how to get there. Below are 3 ways, or rules, that I try to stick to in order to stay happy and healthy:
- Milk DOES do the body good… So does yogurt, and cheese. A University of Tennessee Study found that 1200 mg of calcium from dairy helps people lose an average of 24 pounds (in the study, at least.)
- Turn off the tube… I know that one of my biggest problems about keeping my weight off was that whenever I was watching TV, the commercials I saw made me sooo hungry. Why wouldn’t I just pause my TV, and go over to McDonalds for a $1 Double Cheeseburger or two? Stay away from the brain numbing tube, and you can get your mind off of food.
- Grab a handful of almonds… I think that almonds and skim milk are the secret to weight loss. A handful of almonds for a snack, or around 70 throughout the day should fill you up with protein, good fat, and fiber. I keep the natural or dry roasted on hand, but the Smokehouse by Blue Diamond are my favorite.
